Victor Rosario, born in Isabela, Puerto Rico, died on August 24, 2024 at the age of 93.
Victor was a long-time resident in Lyons, IL and is survived by his wife (Patricia Brodin); his children, Victor, Vita,
Antonio, Magdalena and Ulysses; his granddaughters Vanessa Michelle, Christina, Natasha; and his grandsons Victor Jr., Kenneth Jr., Lorenzo, and Mario.
Victor and was the hardest working father who worked 2 jobs all his life to give his children a best life he could
provide. As a father he always spoke of the importance of education, so we didn’t have to work as hard as he did to
raise our children. Even though my father worked 2 jobs he somehow found the time to take us to amusement parks,
fishing, the zoo and picnics as some of many other entertainments which the list can go on. He also taught us the
importance of respecting and helping others as our father was an unselfish person who would take the shirt off his
back to help anyone. Kindness and empathy was instilled in all of his children. We will miss you dearly Pop.
Victor was always active as some of his hobbies were boxing, weightlifting, swimming and archery. He enjoyed the
outdoors and had a love for the farm life, horses and enjoyed watching the horse races. He loved listening to music
as Johnny Cash was one of his favorite country singer. He enjoyed watching TV as western movies were his favorite.
A funeral service will be held in Victor’s honor Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Tower Home For Funerals and
Cremation, 4007 Joliet Avenue, Lyons, IL 60534. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – Noon with the burial at Maryhill Cemetery, Niles, IL.
