Thomas "Fritz" Davis Burian

Thomas Davis Burian, of Lyons, Illinois, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Born and raised in Lyons, Tom was the beloved son of the late Frank and Helen Burian. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Burian, and his sister, Gayle Sallas-Burian. Tom, known to many as Fritz, was a devoted father to Christopher (Jennifer), Sara, Dawn, and Andrew (Valerie) Burian. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Destiana, Devin, Zoey, Dylan, Derek, Tristen, Ariana, Hailey, Daniella, Isabella, and Olive, each of whom brought him immense joy. As well as his faithful companion Sammy. Known for his strong work ethic, generous heart, and welcoming spirit, Tom was a loving uncle, a loyal friend, and a wonderful neighbor. His door was always open, and he was happiest surrounded by family, friends, and those he cared about. He took pride in a lifetime of hard work and was honored to be a Teamster Brother of Local 786. Tom will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, his willingness to lend a helping hand, his love of all things with a motor, and the lasting impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, extended family, and countless friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. 

Visitation Sunday August 30, 2026 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Tower Home for Funerals, 4007 Joliet Avenue, in Lyons.  Chapel Service on Monday August 31, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.  Interment, Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park, IL.
