Robert Polaski

 Polaski, Robert Walter, "Bob," age 94 of Lyons, passed away Sunday, January 16th 2022. Beloved husband of 66 years to the late Viola. Cherished father of the late Joyce (the late Howard Reed), Karl (Dianne) Polaski and Paul Polaski (Anita DeStefano). Loving Grandpa of Kristin Polaski-Rigg (Alex Rigg) and Dawn Polaski. Proud Great-Grandpa of Ryan and Hannah Rigg. Proceeded in death by his loving parents, Walter Polaski and Anna (Polaski) Butler and loved in-laws, Robert and Susan Rowe. Bob was a Naval Veteran. After leaving the Navy, he worked as a truck driver for 35 years. In between jobs, Bob and a neighbor built a beautiful house in Lyons. He then drove a truck for LaGrange Materials. Upon retiring, he enjoyed flying, camping, fishing and model railroading.

We little knew that morning

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

You did not go alone,

For part of us went with you,

The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,

Your love is still our guide,

And though we cannot see you,

You are always by our side.

Our family chain is broken,

And nothing seems the same,

But as God calls us one by one,

The chain will link again.
