In Loving Memory of Lilia Rangel

Lilia Rangel Ledesma, of Berwyn, Illinois, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 26, 2025, at the age of 69. A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Lilia was cherished by all who knew her. 

She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Nicholas Martinez; her loving son, Gabriel Rangel and his wife Angela; her three adoring grandchildren, Andrew, Alissa and Gabriel; her dear sisters, Nelida and Idalia; Niece Claudia; Nephew’s Gilbert and Sergio Jr. and brother Sergio. 

Lilia had a gift for music, sharing her beautiful voice in with audiences in both Mexico and the U.S. under the stage name ‘Lupita Ledesma La Sexy de la Canción.’ She occasionally shared the stage with her beloved husband, Nicholas, creating cherished musical moments together.

Gone too soon, Lilia will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her unwavering love, devotion to her family, and the joy her music brought to so many lives.

Visitation on Friday January 31, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Tower Home for Funerals  4007 Joliet Avenue in Lyons, IL.   Funeral service to follow visitation at 12:00 noon, Fr. Alex Ojacor will be Officiating.  Interment will be following service at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Stickney, IL.
