Kenneth “Ken” Karl Kosbab

Kenneth “Ken” Karl Kosbab, age 76, of Blue Eye, Missouri, passed away at his home with family present Friday, September 27, 2019. He entered this life September 28, 1942, in Cicero, Illinois, the son of Karl and Gertrude (Hardtke) Kosbab. Ken was joined in marriage September 23, 1967, to Velia Villarreal. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Karen Benbenek. 

Ken worked his way up throughout his career at Time Life Magazine and rose to Operations Manager at Time Customer Service. He had a passion for playing “16 inch” softball in the Chicago area, bass fishing and playing with his grandchildren. Ken was an outstanding husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. The memories made with him will bring smiles to many faces for years to come. He will be greatly missed.

Ken is survived by his wife of 52 years, Velia Kosbab; daughter, Cheryl (Steve) Wizniuk of Tinley Park, Illinois; son, Mark (Jackie) Kosbab of Bartlett, Illinois; son, Danny (Mercedes) Kosbab of Minneola, Florida; grandchildren: Jennifer, Emilie, Kacie, Daniel, Lexi, Thatcher, and Joclyn; brother-in-law, Leonard Benbenek of Chicago, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial visitation will take place Friday, October 11th from 3 to 8 P.M.
