Jeanne Marie Karasek

Jeanne Marie Karasek, age 88, of Lyons, IL. at rest, April 14, 2025.  Beloved wife of the late Joseph "Pepi" Karasek.  Loving mother of Steve, and James (Dolly) Karasek.  Dearest grandmother of Andrew (Becca) and Matthew Karasek. Cherished sister of Nancy Hough. Dear aunt of Helen (Jay) Agans, Austin Hough, Tim (Sarah) Hough, Michael (Susanne) D'Angelo.

Jeanne had a remarkable career. She served as the Past President of the Emil Schieve American Legion Post #699 Ladies Auxiliary, and as the Administrative Assistant to the Mayor's office in the Village of Lyons for many years. Additionally, she dedicated several years of her life to serving as the Librarian at the Lyons Public Library. In her retirement, Jeanne cherished the opportunity to spend her summers with her family and friends at Sheltering Oaks Campground in East Troy, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be on Monday April 21, from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at The Tower Home for Funerals 4007 Joliet Avenue in Lyons, IL.  Funeral Tuesday April 22, from the funeral home, to St. Mary Catholic Church in Riverside for 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
