Dora Hernandez

Dora Hernandez, born September 5, 1935, fell asleep in death on July 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Taylor, Texas, and raised in Chicago, Dora was a vibrant and generous soul who brought warmth and joy to everyone around her.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Antonio Hernandez; her sons, Stephen and Mark; and her daughters, Stephanie (Caesar) Diaz and Ava (Mike) Latimer. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Susan (David) Ortiz, along with her dear nephews and niece. Dora was preceded in death by her sons Ned, Richard, Daniel Pole, and David Hernandez; her grandsons Danny, Robert, and Matthew; and her granddaughter Dawn Pole. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren—all of whom she adored.
