Dennis Koronkiewicz

Dennis T. Koronkiewicz, “The Admiral”, of Lyons, IL, passed away on August 24, 2018 at the age of 76.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann (Miski); his children: Donna (Steve Calderon), Randy (Janet), and Joseph (Roberta); his grandchildren: Stephanie, Christopher, Amber, David, Samantha, Alexis, Andrew and Austin; and his brothers and sisters.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Murphy and his father, Walter and step-mother, Francis Koronkiewicz.

Dennis was born on June 30, 1942 in Chicago, IL. He was a private detective and a member of the Associated Detectives of Illinois. Dennis was passionate about his love of sailing, especially the many years he spent on Lake Michigan. He was an active member of the Poor Man’s Yacht Club.

A funeral mass is scheduled for Friday, September 14, 2018, 10 am at St. Barbara Church, Brookfield, IL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Edward Hines Jr VA Hospital, Oncology Department, thru their website Hines.va.gov.

The family would like to thank the medical staff of Edward Hines Jr VA hospital, the doctors of Loyola Medical Hospital who treated Dennis, and the staff of Unity Hospice for their dedication, expertise, care, and support of Dennis and his family.
