Carlos Romero passed away into the loving arms of the Lord on December 27, 2018 at the age of 80 with his wife Loretta, his son Victor and his daughter-in-law Patricia by his side. Carlos was born on January 27, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Joseph and Helen Romero. Carlos was a loving brother to the late Arthur and Laverne. During their 60 years of marriage, Carlos and Loretta were blessed with two sons, Victor (Patricia), Emmanuel (deceased), Grandsons Zachary and Maximilian, Granddaughter Jessica McCollum (Ray), Great Granddaughter Emma Kate McCollum and Grandnephew Eddie Martinez. Some of the things Carlos loved were fishing, old Hollywood movies, Westerns and spending time with his family. Carlos had a great sense of humor. He was quiet until he got to know you and then would keep you laughing and entertained with his vast knowledge of fishing, movies and movie stars. Carlos will be deeply missed.
Gone Fishin'
I've finished life's chores assigned to me,
So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole
For I've been invited to the fishin' hole.
Where every day is a day to fish,
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don't worry, or feel sad for me,
I'm fishin' with the Master of the sea.
We will miss each other for awhile,
But you will come and bring your smile.
That won't be long you will see,
Till we're together you and me.
To all of those that think of me,
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I'm missin'
Just tell 'em I've gone fishin'
