It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bruce Tang, a man whose intelligence, warmth, and vibrant spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Bruce was born on March 19, 1976, and passed away on March 16, 2026—just a few days shy of his 50th birthday. Bruce lived a life defined by generosity, humor, and deep compassion. He had a gift for lighting up any room and making others feel truly seen and valued. Though his passing was unexpected, we find comfort in knowing he lived fully and intentionally, embracing each day and the people he loved. He departed this life as he lived—surrounded by his loved ones.
He was the beloved husband of Trinh Quach and a proud, devoted father to Samantha and Naomi. He was the eldest loving son of Lieng Trang and the late Gieng Tang, and the third of seven siblings: My Hahn La (Phouc La), Heather Tang (Kendra Anderson), Dave Tang (Hong Tran), Cindy Tang (Ray Wong), Lisa Tang (Adam Schiefelbein), Tommy Tang (Danielle Smolich), and a beloved uncle. Family was at the center of Bruce's life, and he took great pride in all that he built with them. Married on July 15, 2006, Bruce and Trinh began a partnership rooted in love and strength. From humble beginnings, Bruce graduated from Morton West High School and the University of Illinois at Chicago and built a successful career in the Hedge Fund Industry through determination and intellect. Bruce's legacy is one of love, resilience, and generosity. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Tower Home for Funerals and Cremation, 4007 Joliet Ave, Lyons, IL, 60534. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 8:00 am at Immanuel Hall, 302 S. Grant St., Hinsdale, IL 60521.
Our hearts are broken, but we are deeply grateful for the time we were given with Bruce. He was the center of our family, our strength, and our joy. Though he is no longer with us, his love will forever guide us, and his spirit will live on in all of us who loved him.
In honor of Bruce's lasting legacy and his profound devotion to his family, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the college fund of his daughters Samantha Tang and Nomi Tang through Zelle at samandnomitang@gmail.com
