It never failed that Dale would come through the bank drive through to get his crisp two dollar bills and we would sit and chit chat until the car behind him was beeping to move. Not a single day passed that he did not make us laugh or put a smile on our faces. After his surgery I remember him WALKING into the bank and saying "look at me, I can walk without a cane now!" Dale, you were such a sweet sweet person, and you will be forever in our hearts.

-Your girls at Harlem.

The entire community of St. John's United Church of Christ in Lyons, IL including the council members wish to extend our condolences to the family of Dale. It is when you do not see two sets of footprints in the sand that I carried you, says the Lord. Dale was an amazing spirit and continues to live within each of us. Do not be afraid, as the song says, to pray out loud anytime you need to speak to the Lord, he is here to listen. Dale contributed many time and talents to St. John's over the years but his greatest was his contribution of sharing Christ's love with everyone he came into contact with, stranger or friend.

We are so sorry to hear of Dale's death. He was taken too soon from all of us. We talked with Dale around the holidays, and he seemed fine. He was such a comfort and inspiration during our difficult days. May God grant your family peace at this time of grief and loving memories in the future. John and Margaret
