Mary Elaine Bensfield age 89 of Lyons formerly of Chicago and Cicero. Beloved wife of the late William Walter Bensfield. Loving mother of Stephen (Bic) and Mary Ann (Joe) Koudelik, and the late Bruce Edward and Dennis William. Dear Grandmother of Lacey (Andrew) East, Jason William, and Ryan Koudelik. Fond great-grandmother of Jacey Ryanne Green. Dear sister of Marcella Margelewski, Dolores Messlein and Jean McLain. Fond aunt to countless nieces and nephews. Elaine loved many things, one of the biggest was her family, she loved her family dearly. They were her world. She was very outgoing, she loved getting her hair done, an avid bowler in her younger years, playing bingo (with her trolls for luck), playing poker around the table (some of her unique games), scrabble, and going to the casino. She was a member of the Lyons Retiree Club for several years. She loved listening and going to see Barry Manilow live in concert. She enjoyed cooking, especially pierogies, collecting elephants and eating her dove bars. Her blue eyes would light up when she smiled and her laugh was so infectious. She touched so many lives and will be missed greatly.
